Singer and actor Kim Jaejoong graced a meaningful occasion for cultural exchange between Korea and Japan.
Kim Jaejoong officially attended the '60th Anniversary of Korea-Japan Normalization of Diplomatic Relations' event held in Tokyo, Japan, on the 19th.
This event serves as a commemorative reception hosted by the Korean Embassy in Japan, among events held once in each country to celebrate the 60th anniversary of normalization, where Kim Jaejoong attended alongside Hitomi and Mei from the girl group SAY MY NAME.
At this event, attended by more than 800 key guests from Korea and Japan, including Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba who made a surprise appearance, Kim Jaejoong also conveyed a message commemorating the 60th anniversary of Korea-Japan normalization of diplomatic relations.
Kim Jaejoong said, "It is a great honor to attend this meaningful occasion. The number '60' symbolizes the completion of a cycle in Tongyang, so I believe this moment is a precious opportunity to reflect on the footprints both countries have taken and prepare for a new future."
He added, "As I have engaged in the cultural and artistic fields, I have come to believe that music and culture serve as a strong bridge connecting people's hearts across languages and borders, receiving much love and support from both countries. I sincerely hope that in the future, both countries will deeply understand and respect each other's cultures and create a better tomorrow where especially the younger generations can communicate and nurture their dreams together."
In this regard, Kim Jaejoong's agency, Incode, noted, "Since Kim Jaejoong is an artist who has received much love as a popular cultural figure in Korea and Japan, he will continue to strive to play a significant bridging role in cultural exchange between the two countries."
Meanwhile, Kim Jaejoong is successfully holding his Asia tour concert 'Beauty in Chaos' and plans to continue meeting fans through various activities.
