Singer Sung Si-kyung has commented on the harsh criticism of 'Kkumiktende.'
Sung said on the 18th, "Tomorrow is Kkuten Day. You know, I was shocked to see the article after it came out; my thriving YouTube has stumbled. It's not like I suddenly want to become a super stylish sexy guy fashionista (which I can't even be)".
He continued, "A person in his 40s, who knows nothing about fashion and has never bought clothes or applied skin lotion, is learning with help, suggesting we slowly get to know this and that. I wonder if people have high expectations, as there are those who have said bad things about changing the steps."
He added, "If you draw lines on a pumpkin, it won't turn into a watermelon. Since I've never practiced much, even if I can't become a watermelon, let's slowly learn how to draw lines—it's just that... Anyway, if I have to change steps to become cooler, I don't want to."
Furthermore, he noted, "This isn't the stylist's fault; it's my face and hair that's difficult to manage because I'm still heavy. I hope my comments are meant to encourage improvement, but can we not insult the participating staff? I feel really sorry..."
Finally, he added, "You know I’m not giving up once I start, right? I'll study slowly, so you'll support me, right?"
The full statement follows.
