Singer Sung Si-kyung has introduced a new YouTube content titled 'I'll Decorate,' and as fans have poured out harsh criticism, he has personally come forward to explain himself.
Sung Si-kyung said on the 18th, "Tomorrow is 'I'll Decorate.' You know, it surprised me when it even made the news. The YouTube channel that was doing well can slip up suddenly, and I did not mean to suddenly become a super stylish, sexy fashionista (which isn't possible either)."
He continued, "I’m a man in my 40s who knows nothing about fashion, has never bought clothes, and has never tried skin lotion. I’m just trying to learn slowly with help while figuring things out, but maybe people had too many expectations, and some are saying bad things, asking to change the steps."
He added, "Just like drawing lines on a pumpkin won't turn it into a watermelon, I haven't drawn that much, so even if I can't become a watermelon, let's learn how to draw lines slowly. Anyway, if changing the steps means I have to become stylish, I don't want to become stylish."
He also said, "It's not about blaming the stylist or hairstyle; it's just that my face and hair make it too difficult to style right now," and expressed his regret by saying, "While it may sound like I want them to do better, can we not speak ill of the participating staff? I feel so sorry..."
Finally, he added, "You know I don’t let go of what I’ve started? I'll study slowly, so will you support me?"
The reason Sung Si-kyung posted this message is due to harsh criticism surrounding his recent fashion content 'I'll Decorate' uploaded on his YouTube channel. 'I'll Decorate' is a new content featuring Sung Si-kyung learning styling for the first time, and fans and netizens who viewed the content suggested replacing the stylist due to the minimal differences from his usual style.
However, Sung Si-kyung expressed his stance regarding the suggestion to change stylists, saying, "There are those saying bad things to change the steps. Drawing lines on a pumpkin won’t turn it into a watermelon. If I have to change the steps to become stylish, then I don't want to become stylish."
Meanwhile, Sung Si-kyung has been updating his current situation through YouTube since wrapping up his fan meeting 'April' in April. His food content 'I'll Eat' where he visits restaurants chosen by him and his talk content 'I'll Meet' where he meets people and shares stories are gaining popularity.
