FT Island's Lee Hong-gi is set to remake Psy's hidden breakup song 'Because It Rains.'
Lee Hong-gi will release the music project 'Today's Selection' track 'Because It Rains' on July 6 at 6 p.m. through various online music sites.
'Because It Rains' is a song from Psy's fourth studio album, released in 2006, that captures the complicated emotions of the protagonist who finds themselves calling an old lover on a rainy day.
Lee Hong-gi maintained the original song's lonely emotions while adding more sophisticated breakup feelings with his unique refreshing and compelling vocals. In particular, the combination of his understated singing style and the gradually rising emotional line has resulted in a reinterpreted 'Because It Rains' in Lee Hong-gi's own style.
Meanwhile, 'Today's Selection' is a music project that encompasses well-made new songs as well as remakes of classic songs. Participants such as Big Mama's Park Min-hye, Lim Han-byeol, Lee Ye-joon, Monday Kiz, and Heo Gak have presented high-quality music. Lee Hong-gi is expected to further expand the project's resonance by newly proving the value of classic songs in his own way.
The newly reinterpreted 'Because It Rains' by Lee Hong-gi will be released on July 6 at 6 p.m. through various online music sites.
