The chairman of the agency One Hundred, Cha Ga Won, issued an apology regarding the personal life controversy involving THE BOYZ member Joo Hak Nyeon.
On the night of the 18th, Cha Ga Won distributed the agency's press release, stating, "I sincerely apologize for the deep concern caused to our fans and the public due to various situations involving our artists and members."
He emphasized, "One Hundred humbly accepts that there has been inadequate management of the personal lives and attitudes of our artists and members. We take this matter seriously and reflect deeply on our responsibilities."
He added, "We will strengthen the management system regarding the personal lives and overall attitudes of our artists, and strive for training to enhance ethical awareness and improve our internal systems." He continued, "In the future, we will take a more responsible approach so that not only the activities of our artists but also all environments surrounding them can restore and maintain the trust of fans and the public."
One Hundred is currently embroiled in various controversies surrounding their idol group THE BOYZ. On the 16th, member Joo Hak Nyeon announced a suspension of his activities due to personal reasons. However, reports surfaced that Joo Hak Nyeon was seen embracing Japanese adult film actress Asuka Kirara at a bar in Japan, causing a shock. Following this, Joo Hak Nyeon left the team just two days after announcing his activity suspension. Additionally, there are allegations that Joo Hak Nyeon and Asuka Kirara were not just a couple but involved in a prostitution relationship.
In addition, THE BOYZ member Joo Yeon was quickly embroiled in a dating rumor with actress Shin Si A, and despite promptly apologizing, he issued an apology due to controversy over deceiving fans. Another member, Sun Woo, faced criticism for pointing to his AirPods and saying to a bodyguard, "my AirPods," which led to controversy regarding his character, and he also apologized.
