The court's rejection of the appeal regarding the decision to prohibit the members of the group NewJeans from independent activities was upheld by the high court, while the agency ADOR reiterated its hope for a resumption of activities.

ADOR stated on the 18th, "There was a decision in the appeal trial confirming once again that ADOR is the agency for NewJeans. We are deeply grateful for the court's judgment."

It added, "We hope this decision serves as an opportunity for the members to return to their place in NewJeans and resume activities," and explained, "The company plans to do its best to support NewJeans, which will celebrate its third anniversary of debut next month, to achieve greater leaps and growth."

ADOR has emphasized its partnership with NewJeans. Recently, ADOR has been promoting them, including distributing a press release that announced their song "New Jeans" surpassed 400 million streams on the global music platform Spotify.

Earlier, the Seoul High Court's Civil Division 25-2, presided over by Director General Hwang Byeong-ha, rejected the appeal regarding the preliminary injunction filed by the members of NewJeans on the 17th, which sought to maintain their agency status and prevent the signing of advertising contracts.

The members of NewJeans claimed that their contract was terminated due to a breach of the exclusive contract with ADOR, a label under HYBE, last November and began their independent activities. In response, ADOR filed a preliminary injunction in January against the five members, seeking to prevent them from independently signing advertising contracts, which the court accepted. Afterward, the members appealed, but the court ruled in favor of ADOR.

Meanwhile, the lawsuit filed by ADOR seeking confirmation of the validity of the exclusive contract with the members of NewJeans is currently ongoing in the first trial.
