Member Suga of the group BTS will be discharged from his duty as a social service worker on the 21st.
The agency, Big Hit Music, said on the 18th, “There will be no official event on the day of the discharge,” adding, “To prevent safety accidents due to congestion, we sincerely urge fans to refrain from visiting the site.” It continued, “We ask that you send warm welcomes and encouragement to Suga in your hearts.”
Suga has been fulfilling his military duty as a social service worker in downtown Seoul since September 2023. He received a summary order with a fine of 15 million won last year for the charge of driving an electric scooter under the influence of alcohol (driving under the influence law).
With Suga's discharge, all seven members of BTS will complete their military service. Jin, J-Hope, RM, V, Jimin, and Jungkook have previously completed their active service and discharged sequentially.
The members attended J-Hope's solo tour encore performance held at Goyang Comprehensive Sports Complex on the 13th, the anniversary of their team debut. Jin and Jungkook made a surprise appearance on stage, sharing joy with fans while performing alongside J-Hope.
