Singer Tae Jin-ah pays tribute to his eternal companion, the late Song Dae-kwan, on stage.
The 9th episode of the TV Chosun variety show 'Trot All-Star Battle: Wednesday Night' (abbreviated as 'Suba') airing on the 18th will be themed 'Big Star.' In line with this meaningful special, trot legends Tae Jin-ah and Hyun-sook will appear as special guests, reminiscing and honoring the traces of stars in the music industry alongside the members.
On this day’s broadcast, the classic songs of senior singers who illuminated the Korean music scene, such as the late Hyun-in, Bae Ho, Baek Seol-hee, and Bang Sil-i, will be sung once again in the voices of 'Mister and Miss' juniors, conveying emotions that transcend generations.
Among them, Na-young reinterprets Song Dae-kwan's 'Atmosphere Good' with idol-level performance, capturing attention. Tae Jin-ah, watching this, expressed that he felt as though he was seeing Song Dae-kwan's stage once again, saying, "Surely, the senior must have said up there, 'Our Na-young is doing incredibly well! You're the best!'"
Tae Jin-ah also sings passionately for his lifelong friend and well-meaning rival Song Dae-kwan with the tribute song 'One Ticket.' His heartfelt cry, "Dae-kwan, I really loved you, and to me, you are my eternal companion. I miss you!" fills the studio with emotion.
Meanwhile, MC Boom and Yeom Yu-ri recall the allowances and warm encouragement that Song Dae-kwan gave to juniors during his lifetime, stating that his words are "still a great strength." The cast shares unforgettable memories with music industry seniors such as Song Hae and Hyun-cheol, leaving a deep resonance. Attention is drawn to what kind of impact this special dedicated to honoring legends will convey. The broadcast is scheduled for 10 p.m. on Wednesday, the 18th.
