BLACKPINK's Jennie has won a legal battle against a man identified as A who impersonated her father.

According to a report by Woman Sense on the 18th, the Uijeongbu District Court's Goyang Branch ruled in favor of Jennie's side in a primary court decision regarding a request to prohibit the distribution of publications filed against A, who claimed to be Jennie's biological father, and publisher B in May.

The court stated, "It is reasonable to view A's claim of being Jennie's biological father as false," and ordered the defendants A and publisher B to dispose of his publication. The court also ruled that A could not mention any information related to Jennie on his Kakao profile picture and personal social media accounts.

Earlier, last September, news surfaced online that a person claiming to be Jennie's father published an AI novel based on Jennie's life story.

However, this was revealed to be false, and Jennie's agency, OA Entertainment, noted on the 6th, "Recently, false publications containing false claims impersonating the artist's father have been continuously circulated. This is clearly false information and is completely unrelated to the artist."

The agency stated, "Please be cautious about purchasing illegal publications and take special care to avoid any damages related to this," and added, "We are taking legal action, including criminal complaints for defamation and obstruction of business against those who distribute the false information through our law firm."

The court clarified that A was not recorded as Jennie's father on her family relationship certificate and judged A's claims to be false.
