The movie 'Hi-Five' (written and directed by Kang Hyung-cheol, distributed by NEW, produced by Annapurna Pictures) successfully held a special screening on June 17 (Tuesday) at CGV Yongsan I-Park Mall with families of organ donors and related parties.

'Hi-Five,' a comic action film that tells the story of five individuals who accidentally gain different superpowers through organ transplants, held a group screening in collaboration with the Korea Organ Donation Agency (KODA).

The screening held on June 17 (Tuesday) at CGV Yongsan I-Park Mall was attended by about 200 people, including more than 50 families of KODA organ donors, spokesperson Kim Kyung-sik, staff from the donation agency, and invited audiences from medical institutions such as Seoul National University Hospital and Gangnam Severance Hospital. This event was organized to convey the message 'a miracle of life sharing' more meaningfully, and it is said that the narratives of the characters connected by organ transplants in the film resonated warmly with the actual donor families.

During the stage greeting, Iaan, the representative of Annapurna Pictures, attended and said, 'Hi-Five' is a story about people who gain special abilities through organ transplants, but ultimately it is also a story about those who reach out to help someone. I am sincerely grateful for the opportunity to share this film.' Iaan expressed gratitude to KODA for resonating with the purpose of the screening.

Lee Sam-yeol, the head of KODA, responded by saying, 'I would like to first thank the 'Hi-Five' team for inviting donor families, medical staff, and employees of the Korea Organ Donation Agency to a film themed around life sharing. Just as the transplant beneficiaries in the film take action, we will do our best to ensure that those who have received new life through donations can regain their health and continue to strive for noble life sharing.'

After the screening, there was a meaningful time for the audience to share their thoughts in handwritten notes. Responses such as, 'Thank you for portraying organ transplants in such a cheerful and warm way,' 'It was so refreshing to think about life sharing on such a bright subject,' and 'It was the best movie that combined fun and emotion, all together' poured in, adding significance to the event.

'Hi-Five,' which is holding socially contributing screenings in collaboration with KODA while adding meaningful significance along with super-powered box office success, can be seen in theaters nationwide.
