Comedian Kim Jun-ho, Kim Dae-hee, and Kim Ji-min's agency, JDB Entertainment, is embroiled in an affair scandal, with its subsidiary EFG Music also becoming involved.
On the 17th, a media outlet raised allegations of an inappropriate relationship between JDB Entertainment's representative A and girl group member B. According to reports, A and B had been meeting privately after schedules, hugging or holding hands late at night in the streets.
In response, JDB Entertainment stated, "We are currently closely verifying the facts surrounding the recent allegations, and the individual has communicated their intention to resign to the company. We sincerely apologize for the concern this has caused."
Amidst this, it became known that girl group "IHOTEU" under EFG Music has terminated its exclusive contract as of the 13th.
"IHOTEU" is a three-member group consisting of Negi, Mina, and Amuro, which was recruited by EFG Music as its first artist last October. However, just seven months later, on the 13th, EFG Music announced the termination of Mina's activities and subsequently announced the termination of contracts for the other two members.
In addition, EFG Music has sequentially posted notifications of contract terminations for its artists starting with IHOTEU. On the 16th, it announced the termination of live idol Nana's contract, and on the 17th, it announced the disbandment of the agency's band HIJK as of that day. Notably, HIJK announced its abrupt disbandment less than a month after its formation.
EFG Music noted, "Currently, the representative is in a situation where they cannot directly participate in handling the circumstances, and as a result, the internal staff is taking charge of operational organization and is carrying out necessary responses step by step." They added, "Considering the overall situation, EFG Music will temporarily suspend all activities, and the direction of organizational operations, including the company's future, will be determined after internal organization and legal consultation."
