Once again, absurd fake news has targeted celebrities. Actress Shin Ae-ra directly denied rumors of her death, expressing anger, while concerns are growing as Go Hyun-jung has previously suffered the same fate.

On the 14th, Shin Ae-ra revealed a short but powerful message saying, "I am alive" along with a video on her social media. In the video, Shin Ae-ra was seen making hamburgers at an outdoor volunteer activity, displaying a bright appearance and conveying her healthy status.

She explained the volunteer activity by saying, "This facility has almost 50 boys," adding, "I came here today to make burgers myself." She then firmly stated, "I have something special to say today. I am alive. I did not die." She continued, "One of the volunteers who came with me called crying yesterday, asking, 'Did Shin Ae-ra pass away?...'" mentioning the ridiculous rumors.

Shin Ae-ra expressed anger again, asking, "Why do you post such terrible news? Who benefits from this? Many celebrities, not just me, are treated as if they are dead on YouTube."

She emphasized, "Everyone, please do not believe this. If you see such news, first search my name on the portal. If it hasn't been covered by credible media, it is all fake. I am living healthily."

Actress Yoon Yoo-sun also added to the discussion in the post, saying, "Many people have asked me about this," and noted, "These days, there are so many fake news stories that we need to train ourselves to discern them."

Around the same time, actress Go Hyun-jung also fell victim to death rumors fueled by YouTube. In a YouTube content released on the 3rd, titled "Go Hyun-jung Vlog 10," the staff mentioned, "Death rumors about Go Hyun-jung circulated while she was taking a break on YouTube." Upon hearing this, Go Hyun-jung appeared surprised, asking, "Did that really happen?" and after learning about the related rumors, she stated, "It’s shocking," unable to continue her sentence.

She continued, "Considering that I was sick at the end of last year, I think they might have seen me closely," adding, "It was urgent then, but the surgery went well, and now I have recovered a lot, so you don’t have to worry."

Go Hyun-jung was embroiled in controversy due to health deterioration, causing her to miss the production presentation for her SBS comeback drama "Namib" last December. She subsequently underwent major surgery and focused on recovery, and recently returned to filming the new SBS drama "Praying Mantis," appearing in good health on set.

Meanwhile, as provocative and malicious fake news targeting celebrities spreads indiscriminately through YouTube and social media, situations are repeating where celebrities have to step up to clarify matters. There are calls to urgently establish measures to address this issue.
