The group SEVENTEEN has embraced another No. 1 trophy.
SEVENTEEN (S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, THE 8, Mingyu, Dokyeom, Seungkwan, Vernon, Dino) won first place with their title track "THUNDER" from their 5th studio album "HAPPY BURSTDAY" on MBC's "Show! Music Core" broadcast on the 14th. Particularly, they added trophies even after finishing their comeback activities, achieving seven music show wins and boasting unwaning popularity.
SEVENTEEN has sparked long-term box office success by maintaining high rankings on major domestic and international charts with their 5th studio album and title track released last month. "HAPPY BURSTDAY" recorded the highest initial sales (sales volume in the first week after release) among K-pop albums released this year, and entered the U.S. Billboard main album chart, the "Billboard 200," at No. 2, highlighting the global fans' interest toward them.
"THUNDER" continues to create a storm. The song topped major domestic music charts, including Melon's "TOP 100" upon release, and has maintained its position in the top ranks after reaching No. 1 in the digital section of Circle Chart's weekly chart. It was ranked 14th and 41st respectively in Billboard's global charts, "Global (excluding the U.S.)" and "Global 200," which track popular songs in over 200 countries/regions worldwide.
Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN continues to attract attention by showcasing various content, including the music video for the track "Bad Influence (Prod. by Pharrell Williams)." On the 16th, the main and full versions of "Nana Minbak with SEVENTEEN," their third collaboration with producer Na Young-seok, will be released on tvN and Weverse. Starting from the 25th, their self-produced content "GOING SEVENTEEN," known as the "infinite challenge of the K-pop world," will return with a new season.
