Broadcaster Sam Hammington expressed his views on English kindergartens.

On the 13th, a video titled "Is it necessary? The 7-year exam? Dads talk about children's private education" was posted on the YouTube channel "Yeouido Yooktoe Club."

On that day, Sleepy opened the discussion, saying, "You get English kindergarten when private education comes up. English kindergarten is no joke," and Song Habin commented, "I’ve heard that it’s essential."

In response, Sam Hammington noted, "I don’t really understand why it’s necessary, considering my kids speak English because their dad is Australian. Honestly, if you’re not going to use English for your entire life in Korea, there’s no reason to learn it."

Hearing this, Sleepy remarked, "Doesn’t that make you look a bit more sophisticated? Because you can have a conversation," to which Kwak Bum responded, "Are you raising the kids to appear to have a purpose?" evoking laughter.

Sleepy explained, "If you can communicate, there are many opportunities to go abroad," while Sam Hammington opposed the idea of English kindergarten by saying, "But it only needs to be to a certain extent, just simply enough to communicate."

Kwak Bum revealed, "So, when my kids could handle being on an airplane a bit better, we started traveling to Guam and Japan. But I’m embarrassed because I can’t speak English. As a dad, I wanted to confidently order items and make requests, so I decided to travel and memorized 100 English phrases over two months. That was effective."

Sleepy mentioned, "Didn’t I just talk with my wife yesterday? Should we send our kids abroad for studies? While discussing such topics, it seems too embarrassing if the kids speak English well but the parents don’t. So, should we not let them learn at all? In the end, it came down to that. It might be better if the whole family doesn’t know English."

Meanwhile, Sam Hammington married Korean Jeong Yu-mi in 2013 and has two sons, William and Bentley.
