BABYMONSTER has proven its powerful global popularity by adding a new video that surpassed 200 million views on YouTube.
According to YG Entertainment on the 15th, BABYMONSTER's digital single "FOREVER" music video exceeded 200 million views on YouTube at approximately 7:48 p.m. the previous day. This is an achievement about 11 months after its release on July 1.
This music video has received praise not only for BABYMONSTER's stunning visuals and confident performances but also for its engaging visual beauty. Right after its release, it reached No. 1 on YouTube's "most viewed video in 24 hours" and topped the MV chart on QQ Music, China's largest music site.
As a result, BABYMONSTER now holds four videos with over 200 million views out of a total of 10 of its YouTube contents that have reached the billion view mark. Previously, the music videos "SHEESH" (300 million), "BATTER UP" (300 million), and "DRIP" (200 million) had achieved the same view count, breaking the record for the fastest debut track of a K-pop girl group.
This is a point that hints at their overwhelming presence as the next "YouTube queen." In fact, BABYMONSTER's official channel has recorded 9.39 million subscribers, boasting a cumulative view count exceeding 4.6 billion.
Meanwhile, BABYMONSTER is currently on its first world tour, traveling across 20 cities worldwide over a total of 32 performances. On July 1, it will release a pre-released single titled "HOT SAUCE," marking the beginning of a busy schedule leading to the release of a second single in September and a mini-album in October.
