Annie (real name Moon Seo-yoon), known as the daughter of Shinsegae Chairman Jeong Yoo-kyung, conveyed her sincerity about her dream of becoming a singer.
On the 13th, a video titled "ALLDAY PROJECT - 'DAY 1'" was uploaded to the official YouTube channel of 'ALLDAY PROJECT'.
On that day, Annie spoke about 'ALLDAY PROJECT,' saying, "I think the five of us are very different, yet we have stories and common ground. It would be so much fun to work together."
She revealed how she came to dream of being a singer, saying, "When I was 7 years old, I happened to see the music video for 'Lollipop' by 2NE1 and Big Bang. It was so shocking. A new world opened up for me. I think I made a resolution that I definitely wanted to do what they were doing."
She continued, saying, "One day, I casually asked my mom, 'What do you think about me becoming a singer?' and she just laughed and said, 'That's impossible,' so I thought, 'It's not going to happen.' A few years later, I tried to seriously approach it and told her, 'Mom, I really want to be a singer,' and she responded, 'Is that even a reasonable statement?' and said, 'Absolutely NO.' That was the first time I experienced a 'heartbreak' in my life due to my family's opposition."
Annie said, "During my junior and senior years in high school, the family's opposition was strongest, but I couldn't give up, so my mom made a suggestion. She said if I got into college, she would help convince the rest of the family, so from that point on, I completely gave up on sleep and prepared for college entrance exams really hard, and in the end, I was able to get into college. But actually, my mom didn't think I would get in; she thought, when would a kid who practices all day and spends all day at the practice room have time to study?"
In particular, Annie is the daughter of Shinsegae Chairman Jeong Yoo-kyung and a fourth-generation conglomerate from the 'Bum Samsung family,' which has led some to have negative opinions about her debut. Regarding this, she said, "People think that I might not be serious about this path and doubt me a lot, so I had to show a lot more to prove how earnest I am about this dream. Just getting a little closer to this opportunity of debut made me happy, so I worked really hard every day, and I think that's how I was able to be that intense in my efforts."
She expressed her aspirations, stating, "Right from the first moment I saw the other ALLDAY PROJECT members, there didn't seem to be any awkwardness. I had high expectations about whether we could work together. It was more of that atmosphere. It’s quite fascinating. Finding harmony can be difficult, but we are working on finding that harmony every day, and I think that process is really good in terms of choreography, visuals, music videos, and artistically too. I believe it’s now time for us to show ourselves to the world."
Meanwhile, ALLDAY PROJECT is a multinational five-member mixed group under The Black Label, led by K-pop producer Teddy, and is expected to debut with their first single 'FAMOUS' on the 23rd.
