'Running to Live' stars Bang Eun-hee and Choi Joon-seok, along with Sleepy and Jo Jin-hyung, experience a burst of betrayal during 'trail running.'
In the 9th episode of 'Running to Live' airing on Saturday, 14th, at 8:20 p.m., the 'Running Crew' participates in a 'Trail Running Competition' held in Jeongseon, Gangwon Province, where they strive to secure their MVP badges while engaging in a 'tail-catching' mission to snatch badges from the runners ahead.
Earlier, Deputy Director Lee Yong-pyo noted, "Based on previous marathon records, if you catch up to someone ranked just ahead of you, you can steal one of their MVP badges." Thus, the 'Running Crew' engages in a psychological battle, confirming their rankings and starting to run in a fierce scenario where yesterday's ally becomes today's foe.
Moments later, Bang Eun-hee expresses her disappointment as Choi Joon-seok overtakes her. He says, "Damn it! You promised to give me a badge," blaming Choi Joon-seok, who is ahead of him, and ultimately exclaims, "You even lied about your knee hurting!" criticizing Choi Joon-seok harshly. Choi Joon-seok also, as Bang Eun-hee overtakes him again, cries out, "Don't steal my badge!" and sighs deeply, saying, "You said you were (injured by a toe fracture), yet you surpass me..."
Another 'running mate,' Sleepy, and Jo Jin-hyung also show drastically changed attitudes in front of the badges. The two, who started running side by side early in the race, gradually become quiet as they move into the latter half, suddenly finding Jo Jin-hyung breaking away and widening the gap. Sleepy, caught off guard, says, "Jo Jin-hyung told me to run together, but in an instant, I thought, 'Oh no,'" feeling flustered. Shortly after, Jo Jin-hyung smiles awkwardly in an interview with the production team, saying, "My urge to sprint just suddenly came out without me realizing it..." A concerned Sleepy states, "I must catch up to him again; that's the only way I can protect my badge," turning on his competitive mode. Attention is focused on what the 'Running Crew' will show in the 'tail-catching' mission between 'friendship and badges.'
The marathon growth journey of the 'Running Crew,' who are challenging 'trail running' for the first time, can be seen in the 9th episode of MBN's 'Running to Live' airing on Saturday, 14th, at 8:20 p.m.
