'WSWF' is showing unusual signs of success overseas.

Mnet's 'World of Street Woman Fighter' (directed by Kwon Young-chan CP, Choi Jeong-nam PD / hereinafter referred to as 'WSWF') is the third season of Mnet's mega hit 'Street Woman Fighter,' which garnered significant interest even before its launch with a new attempt at a national competition format. Following its highly anticipated premiere on May 27th, it topped the drama category rankings for two consecutive weeks in the TV-OTT non-drama section according to Good Data Corporation's FUNdex, officially kicking off its success.

Overseas reactions to 'WSWF' are also notable. Expanding the scope of a national competition, 'WSWF' has confirmed its debut in 38 countries and regions, including the United States, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand, through global platforms before its first broadcast.

In Japan, the show airs simultaneously with Korea on the local OTT platform ABEMA, where it has ranked first in the K-POP genre for three consecutive weeks since its debut, indicating high popularity in the region. Furthermore, 'WSWF' has made its way into the ABEMA 'Overall Ranking TOP 20' chart, showcasing its prominence.

Visible achievements are also emerging in the United States and Canada. 'WSWF,' available through the 'CJ ENM Selects' brand on Amazon Prime Video and Apple TV+, recorded the highest viewership among over 300 shows provided, demonstrating its global impact after just two episodes.

The popularity in Asia is also remarkable. On iQIYI, it ranked second in the entertainment category after its premiere and jumped to first place after just two episodes. In Vietnam's OTT service FPT Play, it surpassed 300,000 views cumulatively and rose to first place in the entertainment sector, enjoying a wave of popularity.

The influx of a global fandom is also noticeably increasing. According to the YouTube channel 'The CHOOM,' since the launch teaser for 'WSWF' was released, approximately 68% of the new subscribers gained have been international, with Brazilian subscribers making up the largest portion among South American countries, leading the charge (based on data from Jan. 23 to Jun. 8). 'WSWF' is now offering Brazilian Portuguese subtitles on The CHOOM.
