On the 13th, the 7th Criminal Division (Na) of the Seoul High Court conducted the 6th appeal hearing for Park Soo-hong’s older brother, Mr. Park, and sister-in-law, Ms. Lee, who have been indicted on charges of embezzlement under the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Economic Crimes. The court requested both parties to clarify their stances regarding the management of Park Soo-hong's personal accounts, while raising questions such as, “Park Soo-hong does not seem to possess significant assets apart from a 50% equity stake in the Magok commercial property, yet his brother and sister-in-law have acquired four properties and their financial assets have also increased.”
In particular, the court noted, “Despite the fact that the source of income is essentially from Park Soo-hong’s entertainment activities, there is a stark disparity in the assets,” and reiterated the need for a clear explanation.
