There is a Road FC athlete who saved the daughter of entertainer and singer Haha after she contracted an incurable disease,
At the time when COVID-19 spread across the world, Haha's daughter, Song-i, contracted an incurable disease. The diagnosis was Guillain-Barré syndrome, a disease that damages the nervous system.
At that time, Haha tried to admit his daughter to the hospital, but it was not easy due to the COVID-19 period. The person who searched for hospitals with Haha during that time was Road FC fighter Park Hyung-keun. With Park Hyung-keun's help, Haha's daughter was able to be admitted to the hospital and could recover from her illness.
Haha revealed this story during a shoot with Road FC. Park Hyung-keun was participating in the upcoming GUBNE ROAD FC 073 event at Jangchung Gymnasium in Seoul on the 28th and was filming a promotional video with Haha.
Haha said, 'It was the hardest time four years ago. I was so stressed that I wanted to die. My daughter Song-i had contracted an incurable disease. At that moment, Hyung-keun was there. It was extremely difficult to get admitted during the COVID-19 period, but while searching for and finding hospitals together, Hyung-keun gave immense help until Song-i recovered from her illness.'
This experience led Haha and Park Hyung-keun to become like family. They developed a deep bond stronger than anyone else. They endured tough times together and leaned on each other. In particular, Haha confided in Park Hyung-keun about things he could not share with his fellow entertainment show members, overcoming the difficult times.
Haha said, 'We really became family, and miraculously, Song-i recovered. Song-i couldn't express that she was in pain. Because if I shared this story with the entertainment members, they would see me differently. Then would it be entertaining? Only Hyung-keun understood this loneliness and solitude.'
He continued, 'I think I cried a lot. The next day, I had to go out to make people laugh, and at that moment, I felt the sadness of my profession. In this state, how can I make others laugh? My child is lying in bed, unable to move because her body is stiff. She contracted Guillain-Barré syndrome, which is a truly nonsensical and horrible disease, but I am so grateful that she endured and overcame that tough time, and Hyung-keun cried a lot beside me and supported me.'
Park Hyung-keun, who provided significant help to Haha, is preparing to challenge as a mixed martial arts athlete. More than 90% of the people expect Park Hyung-keun to lose, and he has declared that he will retire if he loses this match.
Haha said, 'I will support Hyung-keun no matter what he does. He is someone who truly values each day. I think he must have had a thought when he mentioned retirement. I hope this match goes well. Even if he loses by any chance, I want to tell him that he lived the life of the greatest and coolest fighter.'
