Vocalist K.Will (real name: Kim Hyung-soo) had an honest conversation with singer Kai, who is from the group After School.
On the 11th, K.Will released a new episode of "Knowing Hyung-soo" through his YouTube channel "Hyung-soo is K.Will."
On that day, K.Will conducted the talk in a friendly atmosphere with guest Kai. K.Will asked Kai, "It's been a very long time since you have been on stage. We were active in the same era, and I am curious if you felt any regret when you distanced yourself from the stage after marriage and childbirth." Kai candidly shared at the outset, "I really wanted to be on stage. I missed the stage, but the tranquility that family brings was very significant."
The conversation also continued about childbirth and parenting. While giving birth to her second child, Kai had an unexpected hemorrhage that led to a cesarean section, and she recounted, "At that time, I was filming 'Superman Returns.' (It wasn’t even the due date) Suddenly in the middle of the night, blood was gushing out," discussing the tense situation. While talking, Kai showed concern for K.Will by saying, "You must be shocked, Mr. K.Will," to which K.Will responded realistically, "I don’t have an older sister on either side of my family, so this is really scary," drawing laughter.
Kai, who lived in Bali after getting married and is currently settling in Korea, also mentioned her life in Bali. She said, "(Bali) is a very humbling country. We use only as much electricity as we have charged, and the electricity bill is so high that it’s hard to use the washer-dryer." She added, "The people in Bali are really kind. Seeing people who are grateful for a simple meal made me realize that life in Korea was luxurious." Listening to her, K.Will joked, "You didn’t come back from living in the jungle, did you?" which made Kai burst into laughter.
Later, K.Will mentioned Mnet's 'Street Woman Fighter' and said, "It reminded me of you, sister." Kai laughed and said, "I’ve heard this so many times," picking Leejung as a rising star to watch. She also recalled memories of the filming of tvN's 'Mama is an Idol,' in which she participated.
Finally, Kai shared her heartfelt feelings by saying, "I really think there’s nothing that can replace the stage." K.Will also deeply empathized, stating, "For those who want to stand on stage, I believe that no matter what other work they do, they can never give up on the stage."
In addition, K.Will skillfully guided a variety of discussions ranging from Kai's parenting stories to running a dance academy while creating a natural and comfortable atmosphere. He completed the cheerful talk with attentive reactions and smooth hosting, proving his reliable hosting skills.
New episodes are released every Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.
