Kahi, a former member of After School, shared her urgent bleeding experience during her second pregnancy and honestly talked about the realities of parenting and childbirth.
On 11th, a new episode of 'Hyungsu is K.Will' was uploaded on the YouTube channel. On this broadcast, Kahi appeared as a guest and had deep conversations with K.Will about parenting, pregnancy, and the stage.
On this day, Kahi vividly recounted the tense situation from the day before the birth of her second son. She recalled, “At that time, I was filming for KBS2's ‘The Return of Superman’. All the settings were aligned with the due date, but suddenly, in the middle of the night, blood started pouring out,” adding, “I woke up startled, only wrapped in a shower towel. When I contacted the filming team, they suddenly had everything set up in the delivery room and arrived.”
At that time, Kahi, who had planned for a natural birth, tried to hold on as long as possible, but based on the medical staff's judgment, a cesarean section was ultimately performed. She shared, “They say there are many membranes between the belly and the skin when there's a baby inside. That's the placenta. The baby has to come out through that... It was very tense,” as she calmly recounted that moment.
Listening to this episode, K.Will honestly reacted, saying, “I don’t have an older sister on either my maternal or paternal side. So hearing stories like this scares me,” to which Kahi responded with a smile, “You must have been surprised, young man.”
Kahi also shared the moment when she first found out about her pregnancy. She said, “I felt something was off during a trip to Bali and tested, but both times it came back negative. So I just left, but even after arriving, I felt strange. My husband had the test kit, and eventually, the third test showed two lines,” adding with a laugh, “The surfing I had planned was all canceled, and it suddenly turned into a prenatal trip.”
She also openly confessed about her recovery after childbirth. She stated, “After giving birth to my first child, I breastfed for 100 days and returned, but I couldn’t do any sit-ups while working out. I had no strength in my belly at all,” and continued, “I was so flustered that I exercised for 3 hours a day and avoided carbohydrates for 3 months to recover,” explaining, “With my second, I didn’t do it as harshly as with the first and took it slow. I had some fun.”
Kahi, who is currently settling in Korea after living in Bali after her marriage, shared about her experience in Bali, saying, “I could only use as much electricity as I charged, so I had to be careful when using the washing machine or dryer. Yet, I naturally became humble and learned to be grateful.”
Meanwhile, Kahi married her husband, who is three years younger, in 2016 and has two sons. She is currently engaged in various activities, including managing a dance academy, while continuing to embrace motherhood, stating, “The stage is an irreplaceable entity,” expressing her ongoing passion for performing.
