Queen of insight Kim Nam-joo, Kim Nam-joo, shared her struggles during the filming of the drama 'Misty.'
In the third episode of the recently aired SBS Life new entertainment program 'Queen of Insight Kim Nam-joo,' Kim Nam-joo introduced items from her collection, including outfits and shoes worn in 'Misty,' and opened up, saying, 'The hardest time was when I was doing 'Misty.' I was exercising without eating, and I really wanted to cry. But at that age, eating and exercising wouldn’t help me lose weight. At that time, I was 47 years old, but I had a baby too.'
'The clothes I wore for 'Misty' are hard to sell. They are too small. I was 46 kg back then,' she said, adding, 'The clothes I have are what I bought. I think I need to invest in costumes while working on a project. I thought that I wouldn’t be able to fully express my character with sponsored clothes, so I purchased them.'
Kim Nam-joo expressed her affection for 'Misty.' 'I love 'Misty' the most among my works. It was a character that I created entirely through my efforts. It’s a character that I don’t have at all,' she said, adding, 'I’m actually closer to Ji-yae from 'The Queen's Umbrella.' I speak quickly and am quite charming... right?' she said, feeling a bit awkward.
Kim Nam-joo noted, 'Go Hye-ran from 'Misty' is a character that doesn’t exist... That's what actors say. They take some part of themselves to create their characters. It can’t be entirely absent. It's not the usual appearance,' and added, 'I think 'Misty' is a work I love because it was difficult. I feel a sense of pride... I love other works too, but 'Misty' was tough enough to...(be painful) and the audience recognized that. That’s why it’s a rewarding and grateful work.'
In addition, Kim Nam-joo showcased wedding dresses and award ceremony dresses, reminiscing about her memories while also revealing some popular eateries.
