A 'love triangle' exploded in the 26th season of 'I am SOLO.'
In the real dating program 'I am SOLO,' broadcast on the 11th by SBS Plus and ENA, the love lines of Hyun-sook, Kwang-soo, Yong-sik, Sang-cheol, Jeong-sook, and Young-ja deepened in 'Solonara 26.'
After the solo men made their choices and completed the dating match, the 26th season shared their innermost feelings with each other at their accommodations. Jeong-sook tested the waters on Young-ja's feelings towards Sang-cheol, the man she likes, while hinting to Soon-ja, who had been competing for Young-ho, saying, “In fact, Young-ho said his favorite person is you, Soon-ja.” Hearing this, Hyun-sook's expression suddenly stiffened. Moments later, Hyun-sook, in a somewhat lowered mood, went on a '2:1 date' with Kwang-soo and Yong-sik. At the restaurant, Kwang-soo, who is fond of Hyun-sook, appealed, “What was the most fun since coming to 'Solonara'? Wasn't our first date the best?” At that moment, Yong-sik also interjected, saying, “I remember this time the most,” and showed a proactive attitude by proposing a '1:1 conversation' in Pangyo, where Hyun-sook's office is.
During the subsequent '1:1 conversation,' Hyun-sook complimented Yong-sik, saying, “Your hands are very beautiful. I actually like people with pretty hands.” Confident after the compliment, Yong-sik engaged in 'hand flirting' by spreading his hands wide. Meanwhile, feeling a sense of urgency, Kwang-soo quickly retrieved the ice cream that Hyun-sook had mentioned wanting while she was having her '1:1 conversation' with Yong-sik. During the '2:1 date' with Young-sook and Young-cheol, Young-cheol kept making verbal slip-ups. He repeatedly called Young-sook 'Young-ja.' During his date with Soon-ja, Young-ho humorously referenced the movie 'My Sassy Girl,' saying, “Our Soon-ja~.” Young-sook asked, “I want to know Soon-ja's charm,” while Young-ho quietly focused on grilling meat to accommodate him. After the '2:1 date,' Soon-ja stated in front of the production team, “I originally had one crush (Young-ho), but I'm unsure of his feelings. Young-soo is okay, but it's too late to switch.”
During the '1:1 date' with Sang-cheol, Jeong-sook learned that he enjoys a lifestyle where he keeps to the speed limit while driving and doesn't use social media, indicating his low threshold for happiness. After their benign date, Jeong-sook described it as “a decent date,” while Sang-cheol felt there was a lack of conversation to get closer, expressing his regret. He added, “Young-ja is not someone who would receive 0 votes, so it would be a lie to say I’m unconcerned about her.”
Young-ja and Ok-soon, who received '0 votes,' cooked jajangmyeon and ate a 'lonely meal.' During their meal, Young-ja reacted cynically regarding Young-cheol's choice of Young-sook, saying, “It seems Young-cheol no longer needs to be concerned.” She confessed, “Now I just want to focus on Sang-cheol. Even if I don't get a good result from Sang-cheol, it's okay as long as I'm true to my feelings.” However, Jeong-sook held Sang-cheol for an 'additional tea time' after our '1:1 date,' and upon seeing the two together, Young-ja expressed frustration, saying, “It seems Jeong-sook will never let go of Sang-cheol.” After returning from a '2:1 date' with Young-cheol and Kyung-soo, Young-sook reflected, “Now that this is over, it seems Young-soo is the only one left. It's a true miracle that we are meeting again (five years after our introduction).” After his date with Soon-ja, Young-ho sighed in the room, deep in thought. At the same time, Soon-ja expressed her frustrations to other solo women, saying, “It feels like Young-ho is agonizing between Hyun-sook and me.”
Amid the chaotic atmosphere, the 'super date privilege' mission began. First, there was a mission to quickly find the book 'Shattered' by poet Jung Ho-seung, in which Young-ja came in first place. Following that, Young-sook, Kwang-soo, and Yong-sik won 'super date privileges' through various missions. Yong-sik and Kwang-soo both applied for a 'super date' with Hyun-sook, who had only focused on Young-ho from the beginning, felt grateful to the two while also feeling a bit disappointed with Young-ho's indifference towards her. Later, in front of the production team, Hyun-sook confessed, “At this moment, I feel like talking to Young-ho has little significance. I don’t think we need to talk unless Young-ho requests it.”
Young-sook successfully used her 'super date privilege' with Young-soo after five years. Young-ja, meeting Sang-cheol, tested his feelings by saying, “If there’s really no possibility, I won’t take up any more of your time.” Sang-cheol accepted Young-ja's 'super date' proposal, saying, “You don’t need to worry about that.” The following preview depicted Young-ja directly pursuing Sang-cheol, as well as Kwang-soo eventually feeling overwhelmed by the romantic atmosphere between Hyun-sook and Yong-sik.
