Singer JK Kim Dong-wook has declared war on online trolls.

On the 12th, JK Kim Dong-wook announced through his social media account that he would proceed with legal action against about 10 individuals who have defamed and tarnished his reputation with all sorts of insults and statements that are below comprehension regarding artist JK Kim Dong-wook.

He added, "I am currently collecting user IDs and real names for further action at the request of those around me, so please be aware of that," and emphasized, "As you may have seen in the lawsuit articles, leniency is not expected."

Previously, JK Kim Dong-wook has openly posted extreme right-wing political statements on his social media account. In particular, following the election of President Lee Jae-myung, he did not hide his blatant criticism of the government, saying, "It seems there will be more times to sing about a world we should not have to experience rather than love songs."

In response, Shin Seung-mok, representative of the Citizens' Participation Team for the Eradication of Corruption, stated through the official account, "We've decided to report 'small fry JK Kim Dong-wook,' who lives in Canada, for violating the Information and Communications Network Act. It is as if President Lee Jae-myung and the presidential office are spreading false information; they have violated the Information and Communications Network Act by disseminating false information for malicious slander purposes."

Meanwhile, JK Kim Dong-wook is known to be a Korean-Canadian and is reported to hold Canadian citizenship. He is exempt from military service and lacks the right to vote domestically due to his different nationality.
