Singer BoA has fallen victim to malicious graffiti attacks, and the suspect has been revealed.

On the 12th, Channel A News revealed images of the graffiti suspect who appeared at a bus stop in Gangnam, Seoul, on the 5th. The suspect, with a bob hairstyle and carrying a handbag, paused while walking along the street and picked up a pen to write something on a no-parking sign. His graffiti was also captured on a utility pole.

Recently, malicious graffiti featuring insulting content aimed at BoA has been reported in the Gangnam area of Seoul. Following graffiti incidents at public transport stops and advertising boards in Gangnam Station, Sinnonhyeon Station, and Yeoksam-daero, similar graffiti attacks have continued in Gwangjin-gu and Gangdong-gu.

The graffiti contained insulting content and profanity directed at BoA, prompting fans to step in and erase some of it. The agency also noted on the 11th that "we confirmed the site near Gangnam Station in person and reported it, and an investigation is underway at the relevant police station. We also plan to submit an official complaint today."

SM stated, "We are continuously monitoring the spread of false information, malicious personal attacks, and insults against BoA on various social media, video-sharing platforms, and online communities and are regularly proceeding with legal actions on matters that are clearly criminal acts."

Despite BoA expressing distress over numerous instances of indiscriminate slander and insults and indicating a legal response plan, graffiti attacks have occurred offline this time. There is a growing call for severe penalties to prevent recurrence.
