American rapper Kanye West has changed his name again. After changing it to 'Ye' in 2021, he has now changed it to 'Ye Ye.'
On the 10th (local time), American entertainment media Page Six reported that Kanye West's Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Hussein Lallani recently obtained business documents bearing the name 'Ye Ye.'
In this regard, Kanye West's side did not provide a separate statement. However, the documents included his representative brand 'Yeezy Apparel' and 'Getting Out Our Dreams Inc.,' leading to interpretations that the name change was indeed made.
This has raised opinions that Kanye West might be attempting to shed his anti-Semitic image. Last month, he wrote on social media, 'I want to video currency with my kids again, I refuse the Nazis.'
On the 8th of last month, which was Europe’s World War II Victory Day, Kanye West released a song titled 'Hail Hitler' and became embroiled in controversy for praising the Nazis. In February, he also posted on X (formerly Twitter), saying 'I am a Nazi' and 'I love Hitler.'
The fallout from his actions has reached Korea as well. Kanye West's concert scheduled for the 31st of last month was suddenly canceled ten days in advance. The organizing company Coupang Play stated, 'It was inevitably canceled due to recent controversies.'
