BTS member Jungkook greeted fans for the first time in a long while.
Jimin and Jungkook were discharged from their mandatory military service on the 11th, after serving for 1 year and 6 months. Jimin and Jungkook enlisted in the army as active duty soldiers on Dec. 12, 2023, completing their defense duties with the 5th Infantry Division's artillery brigade.
That day, after completing their discharge procedures at the base, the two moved without a separate event to meet journalists and fans at the Yeoncheon Public Stadium in Yeoncheon County, Gyeonggi Province, to greet them after their discharge.
Jungkook first said, "Thank you for welcoming us after our discharge."
He added, "It's been so long since I've been in front of the camera that I didn't wear any makeup, so I'm embarrassed. I don't know what to say," showing an awkward expression.
Jungkook also said, "I want to thank our seniors who were ahead of us, our juniors still in the army, our peers who discharged a little earlier, and the officers who have had a tough time living with us. I want to express my gratitude for taking good care of us."
He continued, "A lot has happened, and slowly we will share it with you," promising a live broadcast.
