Canadian singer JK Kim Dong-wook, who has been constantly spreading conspiracy theories about the current government, is facing a potential lawsuit.

On the 10th, Shin Seung-mok, representative of the Citizens' Participation Solidarity for Eradicating Corruption, announced through the official account that it was decided to report 'the little fish JK Kim Dong-wook living in Canada' for violating the Information and Communications Network Act.

In the past, JK Kim Dong-wook has unabashedly posted far-right political statements on his social account. In particular, after Lee Jae-myung's presidential election victory, he poured out blatant criticism, saying, 'It seems there will be many more times to sing about a world one should not experience rather than love songs.'

Moreover, after the presidential office announced on the 7th that it has been invited to and will attend the G7 summit to be held in Canada from the 15th to the 17th of this month, he posted a targeted message saying, 'These leftist scum, are all at the same academy level?'. He further mentioned, 'Go and check if you've really been invited to the G7 in Canada, and then DM your brother.' This claim stems from the conspiracy theory that the invitation to the G7 summit announced by the presidential office is false.

In response, Representative Shin Seung-mok pointed out, 'As if President Lee Jae-myung and the presidential office were spreading falsehoods, he has violated the Information and Communications Network Act by disseminating false information maliciously.'

'I do not ask or inquire about the accused's status. I will not overlook or excuse anyone, regardless of their status. I will report in accordance with the law to uphold the will of the people,' he said, adding, 'It seems many citizens have suffered mental anguish because of little fish Kim Dong-wook, and I just want to make him realize that 'the real deal is in practice.'

Meanwhile, JK Kim Dong-wook is known to be a Canadian of Korean descent and to hold Canadian citizenship. He is exempt from military service, and due to his different nationality, he does not have voting rights in Korea either. As a result, netizens are criticizing him, saying, 'Do not interfere in domestic affairs.' In January, OSEN reported that JK Kim Dong-wook had also been accused of violating the Immigration Control Act, but he continues to make political statements to this day.
