In 'The First Night With the Duke,' Seo-hyun underwent a drastic transformation twice.

KBS2's new Wednesday-Thursday drama 'The First Night With the Duke' (written by Jeon Seon-young, directed by Lee Woong-hee and Kang Soo-yeon, produced by Studio N and Monster Union, hereafter referred to as The First Night) portrays K's (played by Seo-hyun) life as she stays holed up at home after experiencing a series of job failures, pressed for student loans, and getting fired from her part-time job, spending her days without joy while reading delivery food and web novels.

K complained in a drunken state about the suspension of her only joy in life, the web novel 'The Tyrant's Obsession,' and fell asleep.

When K opened her eyes, she found herself in a room filled with bright and warm colors, awakening in her face just as it was but dressed in fine clothes. As she heard the words of her maid, Bong-wool (played by Oh Se-eun), who referred to her as 'Lady Seonchaek,' she realized where she had woken up. She was the side character Cha Seon-chaek, who appeared only in a single line in her favorite web novel, 'The Tyrant's Obsession.'

The bewildered Cha Seon-chaek quickly became immersed in the dreamlike world, receiving careful love and protection from her father, Prime Minister Cha Ho-yeol (played by Seo-hyun-cheol), her mother, Lady Jeong Gyeong-buin Yoon Deok-jung (played by Yoon Yoo-sun), and her three brothers, Eldest Son Cha Jang-ho (played by Lee Sang-woon), Second Son Cha Doo-ho (played by Kim Shin-bi), and Cha Se-ho (played by Yoon Jeong-hoon).
