Kim Tae-kyun, who married former sports announcer Kim Seok-ryu, will surprise viewers by revealing the amount of 'annual uniform sales incentive' he received during his active player days.
On Dec. 12 at 9 p.m., SBS will air 'Wow! Really? There are such things in the world,' featuring 4 MCs Jun Hyun-moo, Baek Ji-young, Kim Ho-young, and Subin, in a special episode on 'sports records.' In the studio, 'baseball legend' Kim Tae-kyun and You Hee-kwan will be present, sharing stories of those who hold astonishing records related to baseball and other sports.
That day, a baseball fan known as 'the man who loves the LG Twins' draws attention with his unique cheerleading during the LG Twins game. He wears the uniforms of all the starting players and cheers by showcasing each player's jersey as they take the field. Subin remarks, "It looks like a Russian doll 'matryoshka!'" causing a 'wide-eyed' reaction.
Already a celebrity among LG Twins fans, he will unexpectedly reveal his treasure trove, a container, in an interview with the production team a few days later. Inside the container is filled with various items from LG Twins baseball caps to signed balls and jerseys. When asked by the production team how many LG Twins-related items he has, he responds, "There are so many that I gave up counting." The production team then counts the items, discovering he has 504 jersey tops, and a total of 872 items including jerseys, pants, jackets, hats, and baseballs, sending chills down their spines.
The studio guests wonder, "How much did he spend buying all that?" The baseball fan candidly replies, "If I were to compare it to a car, it seems like I spent about the price of a G sedan. My wife doesn’t know." He then reveals his three favorite collectibles and the reasons behind them, drawing intense interest as he is a passionate 'LG Twins fan.'
Meanwhile, Jun Hyun-moo directly asks Kim Tae-kyun and You Hee-kwan, "They say that when your baseball uniforms are sold, players receive incentives. Honestly, how much do you receive?" Kim Tae-kyun reveals, "It comes out to 10% of the sales as an incentive, but when it was at its highest, the annual incentive was about the price of the best sedan in the country."
