The film "The Ghost Game," produced by global IP content studio Eo Content Group, achieved the honor of being officially invited to the Korean Fantastic (Feature) section of the 29th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFAN).

"The Ghost Game" is a high teen mystery horror thriller featuring emerging stars such as Kim Ye-rim (Red Velvet's Yeri) and Lee Chan-hyung, telling a mysterious story that unfolds with a forbidden séance that answers all questions.

This year's Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival announced at an official press conference on the 10th that it will screen a total of 217 films from 41 countries, among which eight films have been selected for the Korean Fantastic feature competition.

In particular, programmer Lee Jeong-yeop mentioned of "The Ghost Game," "It faithfully follows the horror formula and the actors' performances enhance the immersion, providing a visceral horror experience as if one is at a séance," revealing great expectations for the film.

Kim Ye-rim (Red Velvet's Yeri), who plays the character Ja-young, takes on the role of a responsible and warm student council president in "The Ghost Game." Having gained praise for her strong charisma as Baek Je-na in the previous production "Cheongdam International High School," Kim Ye-rim continues to establish herself as a blue-chip to watch with stable performances in various works, in addition to her singing career.

Actor Lee Chan-hyung, who played a role that captivates the hearts of schoolgirls in the film "Victory," has been cast as Dong-jun. With a combination of strong masculinity and delicate emotions, he is expected to present a new side showing a pure love for Ja-young and genre dilemmas.

Seo Dong-hyun, who is set to play the role of Gi-ho, recently showcased his acting skills in the high teen death game "It's Night" which ranked first in the Netflix Korea drama category in December 2023, demonstrating 15 years of acting expertise. Actor Oh So-hyun, who plays the role of Yeo-eun, has securely presented her acting through dramas such as "Understanding of Love," "Anara Sumara," "18 Again," and "The World of the Married," effectively performing as a scene-stealer.

Emerging actress Kim Eun-bi is expected to elevate the genre film atmosphere by portraying the prickly model student Mi-yeon. Actress Park Seo-yeon, who has built her profile through numerous works, is set to showcase her various sides through the role of Ja-young's younger sister Seo-woo.

With the extreme horror genre of séance and the popular theme of high teen death games, along with a solid script and the chemistry generated by a diverse cast of unique emerging stars, the film "The Ghost Game" is expected to meet audiences in theaters this August.

Eo Content Group has demonstrated its strength in the high teen thriller genre through the drama "It's Night," which generated explosive responses from domestic and international viewers, ranking first in Netflix Korea's TV series in December 2023, Amazon Prime Video in Japan, as well as in top positions on the largest regional OTT platforms in Asia such as VIU (View) in Indonesia, MONOMX in Thailand, and K+ in Vietnam. The group plans to captivate domestic and international audiences once again with the upcoming film "The Ghost Game."
