Tonight (Nov. 11) at 8:10 p.m., Channel A's 'Secretaries Who Lend a Hand 2' will reveal the desperate story of a client whose physical and mental health has shown warning signs, making it impossible to postpone dieting any longer.
In this episode, secretary Kim Sung-eun introduces the client and heightens expectations by revealing a commonality that they share: they are both the same age. Accordingly, Jang Sung-kyu, who is also the same age as Kim Sung-eun, expresses joy by stating, "We are all born in 1983, the year of the pig." However, attention is drawn to the shocking story of the client that is revealed shortly thereafter.
The client once actively participated as a plus-size model on a big stage called 'Big Woman Fashion Show,' but the gaze of those around her grew increasingly cold. Following continued malicious comments and derogatory remarks about her appearance, a shocking incident occurred when someone impersonating a fan sent her pork belly with a sharp knife hidden inside, leaving her with trauma. Subsequently, the client began living in seclusion, experiencing panic disorder and social anxiety, and confessed that extreme stress-induced binge eating caused her weight to balloon to 140 kg, ultimately leading to high blood pressure, diabetes, and a rare skin disease called suppurative hidradenitis.
The client revealed that she has been consistently dieting since 2022, stating, "I am still unable to break free from the three-digit weight due to ongoing plateaus and the yo-yo effect from extreme dieting" while asking for help. In response, secretary Kim Sung-eun offered a personalized diet solution and began a serious dieting process, but the client expressed her desperation by sending an SOS to Kim Sung-eun, stating, "I have fallen into another plateau and cannot lose weight this time."
Hearing these concerns, Kim Sung-eun personally visited the client's office to analyze the causes of the plateau, identify issues, and continue offering heartfelt advice. Additionally, she prepared gifts that would aid in dieting and reportedly delivered them herself, increasing interest.
Upon seeing the efforts of secretary Kim Sung-eun, the client expressed gratitude, saying, "Is there really someone who will help me this much to lose weight?" Even after filming, Kim Sung-eun continued to communicate with the client via personal social media, showing support and togetherness until the very end, reportedly touching everyone involved.
