The Boyz's Sunwoo faced backlash and apologized after saying, "Stop the rumors and come play games," regarding group member Juyeon’s dating rumors.

On the 10th, Sunwoo left a message on a communication platform for fans, saying, "Stop the rumors and join (board game) Rummikub."

On that day, as rumors of the same group member Juyeon dating actress Shin Si A surfaced, his comment, which seemed completely unaware of fans' reactions and the atmosphere, drew frowns.

Recently, dating rumors between The Boyz's Juyeon and Shin Si A have emerged, primarily on social media and online communities. The two are known to have met while working together on the short film "Forever," which was selected as a special screening at the 26th Jeonju International Film Festival.

Subsequently, Juyeon and Shin Si A made similar comments about each other in separate interviews, and photos showing fashion items that appeared to be couple items were found on social media, attracting attention. Additionally, a photo presumed to be of a man's hand appeared on Shin Si A's social media. A series of posts stirred suspicions of what is termed "love-stagram."

Both Juyeon and Shin Si A's agencies quickly denied the dating rumors, stating, "The dating rumors are not true at all," yet such rumors could be the most damaging situation for an idol group. Many fans might feel upset or hurt by the suddenly published articles.

However, while actively promoting, Sunwoo made a light comment, saying, "Stop the rumors and let’s just play games," and instead of comforting the fans or turning the atmosphere around, he faced backlash.

In the end, Sunwoo expressed regret, saying, "I spoke lightly and played games without knowing the details of the situation" and "I feel that this might upset you more, and I sincerely apologize."

Earlier, Sunwoo came under fire for showing disrespect to a security guard who picked up an item he dropped, leading to a 'character controversy.'

At that time, Sunwoo, while moving his schedule, did not pick up the airpods he dropped himself and instead shouted, "My AirPods" while waiting, and a security guard who saw this quickly picked them up and handed them to Sunwoo. A moment was captured where Sunwoo received the airpods with one hand without saying thank you, triggering criticisms of rudeness.

As this scene spread through social media, veteran in the music industry Nana commented, "He should be scolded." She added, "One can tell a lot from a little. It's not fair to judge a person based on such a short video, but that behavior seemed very impolite."

Consequently, Sunwoo's seemingly unrepentant attitude on the fandom platform led to increased criticism. In response, his agency, One Hundred, stated, "We deeply regret that the artist acted recklessly" and released an apology. Sunwoo also bowed his head, saying, "I sincerely apologize to everyone who felt uncomfortable and hurt due to my immature responses."
