In 'The First Night With the Duke,' Seohyun immediately recognized the protagonist, Ok Taecyeon.
KBS2's new Wednesday-Thursday drama 'The First Night With the Duke' (written by Jeon Sun-young, directed by Lee Woong-hee and Kang Soo-yeon, planned and produced by Studio N and Monster Union, hereafter 'The First Night With the Duke') depicts a day in the life of Cha Sun-taek (played by Seohyun), who appeared in a single line in her favorite web novel overnight.
K (played by Seohyun), who was experiencing a life of hikikomori and employment failures, falls into despair due to her favorite web novel's suspension and soon realizes that she has awakened as a background character, appearing in just a single line.
However, Cha Sun-taek is satisfied. Being the youngest daughter of the best family in Hanyang, with the Prime Minister as her father, a gentle mother, and three kind older brothers, her status in a harmonious household was too good.
Cha Sun-taek exclaimed, "Beautifully born and filled with destiny and chance, Eun-ae! Adding to that, she fills the deficiencies of those who watch, truly my favorite female lead," as she expressed happiness over the kind and generous nature of the female protagonist, Jo Eun-ae (played by Kwon Han-sol), in the novel.
Cha Sun-taek climbed up to the pavilion and surveyed the world with a telescope. A man, dressed in a solemn manner with a sword at his waist and riding a horse, caught her attention at a glance. Upon seeing him, she realized he was the male protagonist, Kyungseong-gun Ibeon (played by Ok Taecyeon). Cha Sun-taek declared, "Indeed, it is Kyungseong-gun Ibeon!" and then exclaimed, "But he looks much better than I expected!" expressing pure admiration for Ibeon's appearance, piquing her interest.
