Kim Sung-ryung distressed her family.
In the 10th episode of the tvN Monday-Tuesday drama 'Second Shot at Love' that aired on the 10th, Kim Gwang-ok (Kim Sung-ryung) was depicted refusing to receive a transplant from her daughter.
Kim Gwang-ok lay on the operating table, but soon had to come back out. The attending physician said, “Unfortunately, we are unable to proceed with the surgery. The donation consent has suddenly been revoked.” In response, Han Geum-joo (Choi Soo-young) began to exercise to get her body healthy.
The doctor, after seeing Han Geum-joo's test results, reported that her condition had improved, saying that a transplant for Kim Gwang-ok might be possible. Seo Ui-jun (Gong Myoung) stood firmly by Han Geum-joo's side.
Upon hearing this news, Kim Gwang-ok vehemently opposed it, saying, “Absolutely not. I'd rather be told to die. I will never agree to this. I cannot let my daughter, who hasn’t even gotten married because of me, go under the knife.” Han Geum-joo explained, “They said I could be discharged in a week because my recovery is also fast.”
Kim Gwang-ok insisted that Han Geum-joo be sent away quickly. Han Jung-soo (Kim Sang-ho) shouted, “Don’t you need to live? Do you think it was an easy decision for Geum-joo? The doctor said it would be a miracle if Geum-joo undergoes surgery.” Kim Gwang-ok responded, “I don't need a miracle. I can just live like this and die.” This distressed everyone.
