PD Lee Chang-soo, who announced the birth of a new star PD with productions like 'The Boss's Ears Are Donkey Ears' and 'The Seasons', will once again showcase a 'crazy' program in a 'crazy' manner. The program, 'Crazy Rich Korean', will be presented as he steps onto the official stage styled by former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin.

As anticipation grows for KBS2's new entertainment program 'Crazy Rich Korean', which will premiere on the 15th, at its center is PD Lee Chang-soo, armed with unique planning skills and unfiltered talk.

From his bold appearance at the production presentation styled by former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin to comments targeting their own 'KBS Gaejussi', the intricate and 'crazy' side hidden behind his nickname 'Sangdolai' will explode in 'Crazy Rich Korean'.

PD Lee Chang-soo appeared at the 'Crazy Rich Korean' production presentation held on the 10th at KBS Yeouido Annex in Seoul, styled by former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin. PD Lee directly stated about the program's planning intention, "A year ago, after watching former CEO Min's press conference, I thought I could create a program, and that’s how 'Crazy Rich Korean' came about." He added, "It seems that former CEO Min showed how crazy a person must be to succeed on the global stage. I believe there are many Koreans like that, and when I looked into it, those who succeeded worldwide seem to be crazy," emphasizing that the term 'crazy' is closer to passion than wealth.

In particular, this PD revealed his unique 'crazy' planning skills by saying, "This program is uniquely conceived to think about how to hold press conferences for the first time in the world." He explained that the spelling of 'Krazy' instead of 'Crazy' reflects his belief that "Koreans have a unique kind of craziness."

PD Lee Chang-soo’s uniqueness is also evident in his unfiltered talk. When 'Crazy Rich Korean' is set to compete against SBS's 'My Little Old Boy' and MBC's 'Adventure By Accident', he started by saying, "I should talk about KBS Gaejussi." He humorously noted, "'The Boss's Ears Are Donkey Ears' was also created to fill in for '1 Night 2 Days', and when I was told to replace 'Yoo Hee-yeol's Sketchbook' and made 'The Seasons', now I’m facing off against 'My Little Old Boy' and 'Adventure By Accident'. I feel a bit upset and have gained 20 kg from the stress."

Despite this, the PD confidently stated, "It’s true that the scheduling is unfavorable, but I believe in myself even if I go in for a match." MC Jun Hyun-moo remarked about this PD, "As you can see, he is Sangdolai. I’ve met various broadcasters and PDs, but he stands out as the top. It’s hard to call him a public broadcasting PD, he’s such a distinctive character," and he showed full trust by saying, "Even if he steps into the flames, I believe in PD Lee Chang-soo's creativity."

One of PD Lee Chang-soo’s strongest assets is his exceptional 'casting ability'. He stated, "Throughout my directing career, I have a sense of calling regarding this part. Although they are extraordinary individuals, it's tough for them to be introduced to the public unless it’s me. My desire is to cast those we should learn from, who don’t get much media exposure." Just as he cast directors Kim Moon-jung and Kim Gi-tae in 'The Boss's Ears Are Donkey Ears', he has the ambition to highlight 'extraordinary Koreans' active on the global stage in 'Krazy Rich Korean'.

World-renowned cellist and conductor Jang Han-na indirectly proved his casting ability by saying he was so captivated by PD Lee's 'crazy' that he ended up revealing his home. Jang stated, "I was captivated by the PD’s genuine 'crazy' and found myself revealing things without even realizing it."

Regarding concerns that 'Crazy Rich Korean' may not be a cultural or documentary program, this PD emphasized, "It was planned based on data," and believes that only when the participants deal with the 'present' without focusing on the past does it become 'living entertainment'. He revealed his intention to cast individuals like former CEO Min Hee-jin, footballer Son Heung-min, and director Bong Joon-ho, expressing that he will continue to explore 'crazy' stories of Koreans that have never been seen before through 'Crazy Rich Korean'.

Meanwhile, KBS2's new entertainment program 'Crazy Rich Korean' will air for the first time on the night of the 15th at 9:20 p.m.
