On the 10th, RM and V of BTS shared their thoughts about their military service during a live broadcast on the fan communication platform Weverse.

On that day, RM said, “I went on my final vacation and spent the entire two weeks not eating lunch and exercising hard. But while talking with my juniors yesterday, I lay down around 2 a.m. and tears started flowing. So, my eyes became really puffy.” He added, “I felt all the joys and sorrows of being human yesterday. Thinking about my juniors made me a little emotional. It wasn't just fun; I felt a lot of different emotions.”

V said, “I cried a bit when my seniors were leaving, but I didn’t cry when it was my turn.” He added, “We had a lot of conversations about these friends' dreams. After living for a year and a half, I found myself sincerely supporting their dreams and wondering if there was anything I could do to help.”

RM reflected on his military life and recalled his trainee days. RM stated, “It felt like I was training again. When I first entered the dormitory in Nonhyeon-dong at 17, I lived with 30 others, and now at 30, doing it all again feels like being a trainee again.”

He continued, “Before enlisting, I hadn’t been scolded much, but right after joining the military, I experienced a lot of scolding and had to start over and let everything go. I became really close with friends who were already soldiers.”

He also said, “It was all fun and enjoyable, but it wasn't just that.” He added, “But after going through it, I thought, ‘Everyone has done this. While we were having fun in society, some were doing this here.’ It was a time to think about many things I hadn't considered before.”

V resonated, “Of course, there were difficult parts during military service, but the best part was meeting various friends and hearing their diverse life stories. It created memories that I never had before.”
