The leader and eldest member of the group g.o.d, Park Jun-hyung, comforted fans who were hurt by the remarks of the mayor of Gyeongju.

Park Jun-hyung posted a short video and a message on his personal SNS on the night of the 9th. The released video captured a moment from g.o.d's stage during the recording of KBS 2TV's entertainment program 'Immortal Songs' held that evening in Gyeongju. Despite its short length, the splendid stage hinted at g.o.d's unwavering popularity and public recognition.

In this regard, Park Jun-hyung noted, "You all worked so hard on this hot day. You are always the best. Those little ones who came down to the region should be careful going back up and watch out for the heat. We’ll see you soon," expressing his gratitude to the fans who visited the recording site in his characteristic relaxed and witty Korean.

He then tagged the names of g.o.d members, including Danny An, Son Ho-young, and Kim Tae-woo. He also added, "It was really hot, and everyone had a tough time. I was so hot that I felt my necktie tightening as I sang 'You should be here,' and it was a bit difficult. But thanks to you all, I gained some strength, thank you."

In particular, Park Jun-hyung remarked, "And no matter what anyone says, we're okay. It's not a small business that only lasts a day or two. I mean, you get it right? I just hope you don't get hurt easily by someone's mistaken words. We're okay. So, you also broaden your hearts and don’t get hurt. I love you all. Don't stress over trivial matters. We still have greater things ahead."

That day, 'Immortal Songs' was themed as a '2025 Gyeongju APEC' special. Along with g.o.d, Hwasa, ATEEZ, Lee Seung-yoon, Song So-hee, Jeong Dong-won, Jo Jae-ju, Kiki, and Psy also participated, making it a grand K-pop festival. However, before the main stage and recording began, during a pre-recording with the attendance of the mayor of Gyeongju, Joo Nak-kyung, the mayor shocked the crowd by saying into the microphone, "g.o.d was a singer from our generation, hasn't it faded?" This led to the hashtag "#Mayor of Gyeongju Apologize" trending rapidly on social media.
