Seo Jang-hoon harshly scolded a participant who had thoughts that shouldn't have occurred due to a troubled family background.
In the episode of KBS Joy's 'Ask Us Anything Fortune Teller' (hereinafter 'Ask Us Anything'), which aired on the 9th, a participant came forward saying she had lost contact with her mother.
The participant, who has cared for three younger brothers with intellectual disabilities all her life, said, 'I had to take care of my younger brother since I was 8 years old. If my parents could not come home by evening, I had to take my brother to them to feed him.'
She further confessed, 'In fact, there was domestic violence from my father. My mother ran away and obtained a divorce by agreement. Custody went to my father. Feeling overwhelmed caring for two children, he sent me to an orphanage. My younger brother was sent to my maternal grandmother's house. My mother came to find me and cried a lot. Later, she reunited with my father and came to pick me up. That's how my third and fourth younger brothers were born.'
The participant later suggested to her mother to send her younger brothers to a facility but revealed that she was cut off from contact by her mother. She said, 'I explained to my mother, point by point, the reasons for sending them to a facility. My mother's parenting method is wrong because nothing can be done at home. Second, children need to be active to grow healthily, and it's hard to take three out of the house, which is not good for their health. I said, 'Isn't my mother harming the children's health?' The last comment seemed severe, but I had thoughts that shouldn't have occurred since I was 6 years old. The thoughts have not ceased to this day.'
Seo Jang-hoon shouted, 'You are married now. Stop saying useless things. Erase such thoughts from your mind. Now live your life. You should have a happy married life with your husband. Don’t you think you should also find a job?'
He added, 'Even so, if the family is struggling, it seems that the participant should only do what she can handle.'
