Actress Kim Nam-joo confessed the hardships of her past when she was referred to as 'Miss Kim.'
On the 9th, a video titled 'New mom Ralal, learning parenting from senior mom Kim Nam-joo' was released on Kim Nam-joo's personal YouTube channel. The video features YouTuber Ralal as a guest, meeting Kim Nam-joo.
Ralal was a musical actress hopeful who sustained her life before working as a YouTuber by juggling three part-time jobs in the service industry. He was grateful for the new opportunities he found by starting internet broadcasting, leaving behind his past of blaming the environment.
In response to Ralal's positivity, Kim Nam-joo also shared her past. She said, "I used to be a city hall employee. My family was very poor. Back in the day, colleges were divided into first and second rounds, and I was told that if I didn’t pass the first round, I wouldn't be able to go to university. But I failed the first round, and then I worked part-time at the city hall."
Kim Nam-joo then said, "I was only twenty years old, but a 31-year-old man liked me," revealing her feelings during a time of heartbreak. Ralal responded, "It's the same as my husband. He's 11 years older. He looks young so I was deceived," sharing a light-hearted remark while resonating with Kim Nam-joo's story.
In this regard, Kim Nam-joo said, "So, I quit my part-time job at the city hall and got a job at a judicial office. But there, I was just 'Miss Kim.' They would say, 'Miss Kim, make coffee, Miss Kim, do the filing.'"
She said, "While doing the filing, I realized that I couldn’t live as Miss Kim. So I asked my mother to send me to a vocational college at least, and after that, I participated in Miss Korea, which led to how I am now."
Kim Nam-joo added, "My father passed away when I was 3 years old, and I didn't know what kind of person he was. But later I found out that my father was a supporting actor. He was someone who appeared in many roles here and there. After seeing that, I felt like my father was resolving his regrets through me from heaven."
