Comedian Park Na-rae has been receiving concern from fans after experiencing a burglary at her home and the passing of her grandmother, compounded by a series of unfortunate events.
Earlier, in May, Park Na-rae had a shocking experience when a thief broke into her residence in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, stealing valuables worth tens of millions of won. According to the police, a man in his 30s, referred to as Mr. A, was arrested and sent to prosecutors for allegedly breaking into Park Na-rae's home at night on the 4th and stealing high-priced jewelry.
Mr. A, a habitual thief with multiple prior convictions, is reported to have committed burglary in another dwelling in Yongsan-gu, in addition to Park Na-rae's home.
After realizing the theft on the 7th, Park Na-rae was greatly shocked and even canceled her live appearance on MBC Radio's 'Son Tae-jin's Trot Radio' due to deteriorating condition. The incident has garnered significant attention as it involved a detached dwelling that Park Na-rae purchased for 5.5 billion won in 2021, and some reports have raised suspicions of internal wrongdoing, citing the lack of signs of external break-in. However, Park Na-rae's team strongly denied this, stating, "It was an external intrusion, and we will take legal action against the spread of unverified false information."
Before the shock of the theft had even subsided, Park Na-rae had to face another significant sadness. On June 9, her team announced, "Park Na-rae is mourning the death of her grandmother. Currently, she is keeping vigil at her hometown Mokpo, and the funeral will be held on the 10th."
Park Na-rae has publicly shared her warm bond with her grandmother through MBC's 'Home Alone,' earning the empathy of many viewers. She often reminisced about her grandmother's delicious home-cooked meals while recharging her energy in her hometown or invited members to her grandmother's house to provide healing moments, leaving a lasting impression.
In particular, in a broadcast last December, Park Na-rae was seen recreating her grandmother's cooking by making kimchi. At that time, she said, "I’ve really been spoiled in life. I only received something so precious," and added, "I have never given the cost of kimchi, and I’m so sorry," with tears in her eyes, moving the viewers.
Park Na-rae, who faced the sadness of losing her family in addition to the unexpected burglary, has consistently been loved for her cheerful energy. Fans are sending messages of support and consolation, saying, "I hope that only good things fill her life from now on," "Hang in there, Ms. Park Na-rae," and "With the loss of family and now a thief... My heart aches so much."
