Moon Yu-gang successfully wrapped up the last performance of the musical 'Dorian Gray', held at Hongik University Daehangno Art Center on the 7th.
The musical 'Dorian Gray' is a reimagining of Oscar Wilde's novel 'The Picture of Dorian Gray', capturing the story of a beautiful young British nobleman 'Dorian Gray' who, driven by his greed for eternal beauty, undergoes a shocking transformation that leads to the changing of his portrait and soul. Moon Yu-gang played the role of 'Dorian Gray', a beautiful nobleman symbolizing beauty and obtaining immortal beauty, drowning in pleasure and desire.
Moon Yu-gang expressed through his agency Workhouse Company, "I started rehearsing wearing thick clothes, and before I knew it, summer came, and I finished the last performance. 'Dorian Gray' holds a special and precious meaning for me. I was so happy to portray Dorian on stage once again."
He added, "There were many times of crying and laughing, and I learned and felt a lot during this time. I would like to thank the audience who joined us. See you again soon."
In this work, which ran for about two months, Moon Yu-gang perfectly depicted the beautiful young 'Dorian Gray'. The character of Dorian Gray, who gradually heads toward destruction from a pure noble youth, was reborn with Moon Yu-gang's detailed acting and visuals, captivating the audience. Notably, Moon Yu-gang had previously played the role of Jade (Dorian) in the 2019 comprehensive performance 'The Picture of Dorian Gray', making this portrayal of 'Dorian Gray' on stage all the more enjoyable for viewers.
