TWICE will embark on a new world tour titled 'THIS IS FOR' with a '360-degree full opening' scale at all venues this July.
According to JYP Entertainment, TWICE's new world tour 'THIS IS FOR' is taking place about a year after their last tour, featuring a tiered performance that opens all venue seats 360 degrees and breaks down the boundaries between the stage and the audience, promising an unprecedented tour. Through an omnidirectional stage where the front is not specified, audiences will be able to view TWICE's performance in a three-dimensional and lively manner.
This TWICE world tour will involve the global multimedia creative studio Moment Factory. Moment Factory is a leader in stage direction within the music industry, collaborating with global artists such as Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eilish, Ed Sheeran, Madonna, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and U2.
Tarik Mikou, the general director of Moment Factory, has been recognized for his sensuous and impactful show design and direction through numerous collaborations with worldwide musicians. Additionally, Mukhtar, who is working as a show director, has demonstrated exceptional directing skills by drawing from his background as a performer and experience on major stages worldwide, recently participating in the Super Bowl halftime show with Kendrick Lamar and Usher. The two directors will add their hands to this tour, elaborating and intensifying the narrative and energy of TWICE on stage.
According to the poster for the sixth world tour, TWICE will open the grand curtain of their sixth tour at the Incheon Inspire Arena on July 19-20, followed by performances in Osaka on the 26th-27th (local time), Aichi on August 23-24, Fukuoka on the 30th-31st, Tokyo on September 16-17, Macau on the 27th-28th, Bulacan on October 4, Singapore on November 11-12, Sydney on November 1-2, Melbourne on the 8th-9th, Kaohsiung on the 22nd, Hong Kong on December 6, and Bangkok on the 13th-14th. The phrase 'MORE SHOWS WILL BE REVEALED SOON' indicates that additional performance locations will be announced.
The teaser video contains vibrant stage scenes worthy of TWICE's reputation of 'impressing once with the eyes, and once with the ears,' raising anticipation for the performance. The explosive performances on an unprecedented scale, as well as the charms of each of the nine members—Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu—are expected to thrill the large stadium audience and showcase TWICE's energetic connection with the fans.
TWICE will continue to actively engage with global fans this summer. They will release their sixth world tour and corresponding fourth studio album titled 'THIS IS FOR' on July 11 at 1 p.m., marking a highly anticipated comeback. They are also set to appear as a headliner at the large music festival 'Lollapalooza Chicago' in Grant Park, Chicago, Illinois, on August 2, solidifying their status as a 'global top girl group.'
