"Today our country's cultural and artistic community has welcomed yet another special moment," began President Lee Jae-myung, praising that 'Perhaps a Happy Ending' swept a total of six awards, including Best Musical, Best Book, Best Score, Best Direction, Best Actor in a Musical, and Best Scenic Design at the 78th Tony Awards, saying it was "an amazing achievement, the highest number this year."
He also noted, "The Tony Awards are considered one of the four major arts awards in the U.S., along with the Academy Awards (film), Grammy Awards (music), and Emmy Awards (television), referred to as the 'Academy Award of the theater world.'"
