Comedian Park Na-rae is mourning the loss of her grandmother and did not attend the filming of 'Home Alone.'

On the 9th, a representative from Park Na-rae's side told OSEN, "Park Na-rae is mourning the loss of her grandmother. She is keeping vigil in her hometown Mokpo. The funeral is on the 10th," providing an official statement.

Coincidentally, this day is when the studio recording for the MBC entertainment program 'Home Alone' is taking place. Park Na-rae is a core member of 'Home Alone' and is a regular cast member. While she is keeping vigil, she has inevitably missed the 'Home Alone' studio recording that took place that day.

Park Na-rae's relationship with her grandmother has been consistently mentioned on 'Home Alone.' When Park Na-rae visits her hometown Mokpo, she is often restored by her grandmother's generous meals and warm hospitality, and her healing moments inviting the 'Home Alone' members to her grandmother's house have received positive feedback.

In her daily life living alone in Seoul, hints of her grandmother's influence can be seen everywhere. Park Na-rae expresses longing for her grandmother's cooking and replicates the flavors learned from her grandmother and mother to treat guests including 'Home Alone' members, creating a warm atmosphere.

In particular, in the 'Home Alone' episode aired last December, Park Na-rae drew attention with her kimjang, which replicated her grandmother's cooking. At that time, she invited singer Jung Jae-hyung to participate in the kimjang, showcasing flavors and a scale of kimjang that would be hard to imagine for a single-person household.

Related to this, Park Na-rae said, "I realized how fortunate I have been. I received something so precious without ever paying for the kimjang. I'm so sorry," expressing tears over her past where she merely enjoyed the kimchi that contained her grandfather and grandmother's sincerity and love.
