Actress Lee Chae-young announced her return to fans after a one-year hiatus. The time of rest was a journey of self-reflection and regaining focus, and she hinted at a comeback with a more mature mindset.

On the 7th, Lee Chae-young shared pictures capturing her time away along with the message, "The adventure over the past year was really great. It was a much-needed time."

In the photos, Lee Chae-young is seen enjoying her break while traveling around the world. Instead of the glamorous spotlight, her natural smile and serene atmosphere drew attention. Her face, more genuine than in front of the camera, radiated relaxation and sincerity.

Lee Chae-young expressed her heartfelt gratitude, saying, "I was touched by your support and your comments about wanting to see me again. Thank you." She also conveyed her determination, stating, "There were times when I felt upset for missing out on good opportunities because I was not perfect, but I will start over and work hard on the small things, so I can be loved for what I can do and what is given to me."

Additionally, she added warm wishes with the words, "Thank you so very much for your understanding and the kind words you sent. I hope everyone has a good night."

Earlier, in December 2022, Lee Chae-young posted, "Honestly, 2022 was the worst year of my 36 years of life, where luck didn’t follow me even 0.01%. Due to the types of pain and experiences from general hospitals that I had never felt before, there are lifelong scars left on my body. Unbelievable injustices, I learned too much about human diversity and relationships that I had never experienced. Thinking back, during such tough times, I strangely recalled the precious people who, though insignificant, shared meals with me, offered comfort, loved me, believed in me, and gave me opportunities as the year came to a close."

She later reflected, "Could this year truly be the worst year of my life? In fact, was it not the best year that helped me grow out of my immaturity? Goodbye, 2022. Honestly, I felt like I was hit hard and almost died, but I endured and became stronger."

In February, she revealed that she took a long break due to health issues while stepping down from a program. At the time, she confessed, "In 2023, I pushed myself too hard and ended up with some health issues," and she added, "I stepped down from 'Those Who Daze' and took time for myself."

She further stated, "The most important thing in life is health and happiness," and asked for a little understanding as she said, "I am living my life carefully and diligently. What I found might be the answer, but it could be wrong. No, it isn’t wrong. It’s just different." She emphasized, "Stay healthy. Most importantly, take care of your mental health."

Returning reassured, Lee Chae-young is receiving support for her determination to slowly but surely take another step forward.
