NCT member Doyoung (affiliated with SME) becomes a strong support in the journey toward dreams with the track 'Sand Box' from his second album.
'Sand Box', worked on by Kim Jong-wan of Nell, impresses with its blend of guitar sounds that gradually expand over dreamy Moog synths, giving a feeling of stepping somewhere under the cool night sky, and sometimes makes our hearts race, encapsulating a hope that the difficult journey of life will be illuminated a little more beautifully.
At 8 p.m. on the 7th, 'Soar Diary - page. 3' was released through the NCT YouTube channel, capturing Kim Jong-wan's honest thoughts and feelings toward Doyoung while working on 'Sand Box', along with scenes of the two artists concentrating together in the recording studio.
Kim Jong-wan described 'Sand Box' as "a song about dreams that fits the theme of the album, and the lyrics can be interpreted in various ways depending on the listener's situation. I hope it conveys the relationship between Doyoung and the fans, and it was written with the desire for those going through difficult times to gain strength."
He also mentioned about Doyoung, saying, "After meeting him for the first time and talking, I fell in love at first sight. I felt he was a friend who really loves music and has the right thoughts. There were so many impressive aspects that I became a fan instantly," adding, "Even when singing, energy keeps pouring out without getting tired, and seeing his focus increasing more and more, I could understand why he is such a celebrated vocalist."
Doyoung's second album 'Soar' will be released on the 9th at 6 p.m. on various music sites, consisting of a total of 10 tracks including the title song 'Hello, Universe (Memory)'.
