MC Park Soo-hong shared his happy daily life after marriage and the birth of his daughter.

Park Soo-hong is actively co-hosting 'Our Baby is Born' on TV CHOSUN, which airs every Friday at 10 p.m., alongside Yang Se-hyung, helping mothers during childbirth.

'Our Baby is Born' (hereafter referred to as 'UBIB') is the first domestic variety show to broadcast the precious journey of childbirth, providing support to those expecting with the emotional moments that can only be felt on the day of delivery, especially in these times when babies are precious due to childbirth.

Despite family conflicts, Park Soo-hong overcame a 23-year age gap to marry Kim Da-ye in 2021, and successfully became pregnant through IVF after overcoming infertility, giving birth to his daughter, Jae-hee, in October last year, receiving many congratulations. Recently feeling the emotions of being a father, Park Soo-hong has been actively providing empathy and support at 'UBIB' birth sites, performing as a 'delivery fairy.'

In a recent interview with OSEN, Park Soo-hong recalled his wife's delivery and expressed a longing that if he had met the program just a little earlier. He said, "While my wife received a lot of help, I can’t help but think how if I had met 'Our Baby is Born' a bit sooner. Since my wife had a cesarean section, if I had encountered this program earlier, I would have learned that there are various methods of childbirth and how to care for her in more depth. Of course, I am very grateful to the doctor who assisted my wife during childbirth and still visit them. However, due to various issues like gestational diabetes, I feel very sorry and guilty towards my wife, and this program is definitely needed for husbands like me."

Park Soo-hong emphasized the importance of a husband's role during childbirth. He stated, "There is no role more important than the mother during childbirth, but the husband plays a significant role within that. After seeing 'Our Baby is Born' and understanding the struggles my wife went through, I can never treat her lightly, nor can I be lazy about parenting. Husbands often resent taking on the burden of work, leading to neglect of parenting, and later lament being sidelined. There is a period for bonding with the child, and even if work is tough, one must participate during this time. I want to tell them to make sure to be involved because that period doesn’t last long."

On the day of the interview, Park Soo-hong appeared after taking care of his child since morning, expressing disappointment at being separated from his daughter, even for a moment. He remarked about parenting, "I feel like I shouldn't even say it's hard because this process won't come again. Recently, I was very worried because my child didn’t have a bowel movement, but when my child finally did, my wife and I cheered."

He continued, "The time as a single man was long, but because it lasted, I can fully thank my wife and focus on my child. To be honest, I don't even think about wanting to go out and have fun like I did when I was single. Every minute and second matters because I worry about my child falling from the swing or the bed. My wife has a calm demeanor with little emotional fluctuation, while I tend to exaggerate with strong emotional swings. Although she sometimes questions how we can handle it being opposites, there’s an unspoken harmony formed between us," adding, "It's true that parenting is tough. The lack of sleep is the hardest part, but the mere existence of a being that resembles me is so miraculous and brings happiness. When our daughter was born, I thought of her as a perfect candidate, feeling awkward at first, but now, over time, she resembles my wife, and she is so beautiful."
