87-year-old actress Kim Young-ok expressed her thoughts on gray divorce.
On the afternoon of 7th, a talk segment aired on the comprehensive channel MBN entertainment program 'Sokpuri Show Dongchimi', discussing whether couples can part ways amicably or if good separations do not exist between couples.
During the divorce talk that day, Kim Young-ok opened with, 'Having lived for over 60 years, if we were to get a gray divorce,' surprising other guests. She then honestly revealed, 'What will the ratio of the partitioning of assets be, as I really want to be alone now?'
As other guests laughed in surprise, Kim Young-ok said, 'Why are you laughing? This is a serious matter. There are also things I'd like to enjoy alone in the remaining years of my life,' once again drawing attention with her honesty.
In response, lawyer Ahn So-hyun explained, 'There are no set standards for the partitioning of assets. The marital lives of all individuals are diverse. Everyone has different assets, and the professions they hold also vary. From what I hear, many people think that if they have lived together for several years, it ends up being 50-50, but there is no such rule.'
Lawyer Ahn noted, 'However, as the duration of marriage increases, the amount of effort each person has put in tends to be similar. That's why it often comes out to be 50-50. However, in cases like Teacher Kim Young-ok's, it may be 50-50.'
Kim Young-ok reiterated, '50-50 is still too unfair. Please make it 20-80. My husband gets 20, and I get 80.' Lawyer Ahn responded, 'If your contribution is significant, it can go 20-80. Consider getting detailed consultation,' hinting at taking on Kim Young-ok's case, which brought a smile.
